GPM / IMERG Precipitation Data

This metadata entry represents a set of SERVIR-hosted web mapping services of precipitation data from the Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals (IMERG) for Global Precipitation Mission (GPM).\nThe IMERG algorithm intercalibrates, merges and interpolates “all” satellite passive microwave precipitation estimates, together with microwave-calibrated infrared (IR) satellite estimates, monthly precipitation gauge analyses, and potentially other precipitation estimators at fine time and space scales for the TRMM and GPM eras over the entire globe.\nThe hosted services include a 30 minute precipitation intensity service: \n\nhttp://gis1.servirglobal.net/arcgis/rest/services/Global/IMERG_30Min/MapServer \n\nas well as a 1, 3, and 7 day precipitation accumulation service: \n\nhttp://gis1.servirglobal.net/arcgis/rest/services/Global/IMERG_Accumulations/MapServer \n\nThe precipitation data is measured in tenths of a millimeter (mm x 10^1). The legends for the data have been converted to show in mm.
