GEOmon - Global Earth Observation and Monitoring

GEOmon is a first step to build an integrated pan-European Atmospheric Observing System dealing with systematic observations of long-lived greenhouse gases, reactive gases, aerosols, and stratospheric ozone. The goal of the GEOmon project is to sustain and analyze European ground-based observations of atmospheric composition, complementary with satellite measurements, in order to quantify and understand the ongoing changes. GEOmon is an Integrated Project within the 6th FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME of the European Union with a duration of four years (2007-2011). It is coordinated by Philippe CIAIS (Commissariat ? l?Energie Atomique CEA, France) and includes 38 participating institutes.
