NASA ECHO Group Management Service

GroupManagementService The Group Management Service provides all activities a user of the ECHO system needs to maintain and manage groups of users. Groups are aggregations of ECHO registered users, and there are rules governing the membership actions that can be invoked on a group. Each group consists of one owner, and one or more managers. A group manager is responsible for adding and removing ECHO registered users to the group. A group manager is also responsible for the management of the group managers. A group must have one or more group managers. Attempting to remove the last manager of a group results in a error. Groups are used to communicate amongst groups of users and the managers of those users. Groups are also used in the Data Management Service when permissions are created on meta data.
