Iraq - Gawilan IDP Settlement, Al - Hamdaniya, Ninawa Province

This map illustrates satellite-detected shelters and other buildings at the Gawilan IDP Camp in Ninawa Province, Iraq. This camp is 7.2 kilometres northwest of Aski Kalak town and as of 28 June 2016, a total of 1,609 shelters were detected as well as 1,584 infrastructure and support buildings. Areas of shelters under construction are also visible in the image as of 28 June 2016. This is a preliminary analysis & has not yet been validated in the field.
