Welcome to the academic site of Dr. Junmei Tang
Dr. Junmei Tang is a research scientist engaging in developing computational and quantitative methods and applying them to investigate land use land cover change, microclimate environment, landscape pattern-process relationship, ecosystem services, and human-environment interactions. Dr. Tang developed spatially-explicit models and geostatistics techniques and applied these techniques in landscape spatial pattern analysis. She developed conceptual and scientific frameworks to analyze the relationships between landscape change and human behavior and quantify the interaction among nature, human, and social environments at the regional scale. Dr. Tang also works on complex human-environment interactions and explores the linkage between urbanization, socioeconomic development, public policies and deforestation, agro-forestry systems.
Dr. Tang’s Research Interests: Urban remote sensing, landscape ecology, land use land cover change, human-environment interactions.
